What to put on it

  • A genuinely usable list area — enough lines for a real week's shopping, not a token few.
  • Your branding in a band outside the writing area, so it isn't wiped away with the list.
  • Optional category structure — fruit and veg, dairy, pantry — which makes the list faster to use and the magnet more likely to be chosen over paper.
  • For to-do variants: a simple checkbox column, which is more satisfying to use and keeps it in play.

Why shopping list and to-do list magnets work

The shopping list is the single most-used piece of paper in an Australian kitchen, and it's written where the fridge is. A magnet that replaces it puts your brand into a daily habit rather than a passive glance.

It also travels. A household that photographs the list before shopping takes your branding to the supermarket with them.
